Imbali is a word that comes from the Zulu and Xhosa languages of South Africa, and it means “flower, or blossom and in some places will used it to also mean history”

When I was thinking of what my blog posts will be focusing on this season, I wanted to share something about two Greek friends of mine, Apostolia and Korina, for a number of reasons which I will share in other posts. But this one is dedicated to them as I look at their courage, faith and perseverance as they step into a new season of their lives. They are my friends that I have known now for a few years.

The name Imbali comes from the Zulu language and means “a flower” and “to blossom.” It is a beautiful and common girls’ name, and it carries deep personal meaning for me.

My heart will never be the same after this visit. I believe God has made room in my heart to carry these children and to actively seek ways to improve their educational lives.

When I think of Rumbi I see a strong woman, full of love, compassion, who loves those that others find hard to love and she is my hero.

Talent and Yolanda and many other children bring out the beauty of my bouquet of flowers and I am grateful to add some value to their lives

I love how God has brought different women of different economic, political, spiritual standing in my life.
